Lederer’s project, titled The Land of Magic Awaits, explores life forms in nature—both micro and macro—and conveys the bold and delicate forms that exist in the mysterious realms that surround us. Working on a unique wallpaper as her base, she employed a vast range of materials including fabric, fur, glitter, glass eyes, and many 3D objects such as plant-life and birds. The various elements activate the 2D surface, circulating from one to another like an ecosystem, and transporting the viewers across land and sky, illuminating a path to the deep, dark recesses of our universe.
